Personal Biography

Hi everyone! I am super excited to be joining the UCI community and serving first-year, undeclared Anteaters. I have worked in many different advising roles in my career, and I especially love guiding new students in the first steps of their college journey. Before coming to UCI, I worked with students at Cal State Long Beach, Chapman University, and Rutgers University (my alma mater). I was a first gen student myself and college changed my life, so now I am passionate about sharing that experience with others.

I love learning, and have a BA from Rutgers University in English, with minors in Art History and Theater Arts; an MA in Performance Research from Bristol University (in the UK); and a PhD in Performance Studies with emphases in Critical Theory and Feminist Theory & Research from UC Davis. Based on my own diverse experiences I would love to talk to you about boundaryless major and career exploration!

Some of my other interests include tabletop role-playing games, television and film, theater, art, and literature. I also love writing, meditating, cooking, spending time in nature, crochet and embroidery, and hanging out with my cats.
