Personal Biography

Hey, Anteaters! Congratulations on making it to UC Irvine and kickstarting your future. My name is Lauren Bermudez, and I’m an Academic Advisor at the Undergraduate/Undeclared Office.

I’m a queer-identifying cis woman, ENFP-T, 7w6, lawful neutral, and Sagittarius sun/Cancer moon/Leo rising. ☆

While I originally hail from Orange County, I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in Linguistics. I’m also a proud UC Education Abroad Program returnee (Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea). During my time at UCSB, I also founded Seoul’d Out!! UCSB, the second collegiate K-Pop student organization in the United States.

I strongly encourage students to establish a relationship with whoever their advisor is at U/U and to take advantage of all the amazing opportunities UCI has to offer! UC students have so many great programs at their fingertips, so go out and explore the world! I promise you won’t regret it.

Outside of work (or even at work, if you’ve seen my office!), my interests include astrology, tarot, dolls, cats, K-pop, anime, watching basketball/Formula 1/hockey, Dungeons and Dragons, reading, travel, and any pseudo-science personality test I can get my hands on.
