Personal Biography

Hello Anteaters! My name is David To and I am an Academic Advisor in the Undergraduate/Undeclared Advising Program.

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada as a first-generation low-income student raised by my refugee grandparents who did not speak English so I understand firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate the higher education system which is why I have dedicated my career to working with students like yourself to help you achieve your academic goals!

I was inspired by the educators in my life who supported me through my journey which motivated me to get my B.S. in Secondary Education and M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and eventually an Ed.S in Multicultural & Equity Studies from THE Ohio State University.

Outside of work, I train Muay Thai Kickboxing and spend time quality time with my wife and our doggo Taro exploring Orange County. I quite enjoy Marvel, Pixar and horror movies. I like my coffee black and food spicy af.
